Hey friends! I’m beyond thrilled to be back behind the mic, kicking off Season 6 of Hard Beautiful Journey! It feels like forever – and it kind of was! I’ve been away for 500 days, which is a LONG time. But I’m here, and I’m ready to dive back in, sharing stories that embrace both the hard and the beautiful parts of life.
If you’ve been following me on social media, you might know some of the reasons I took a break. For those of you who don’t, let me fill you in on the whirlwind of life that unfolded. In July 2022, I decided to pause the podcast while navigating some major life changes. Two months earlier, James and I made the difficult decision to start a trial separation after lots of therapy. Let me tell you, the journey from that point has been quite a ride.
For a while, James and I took turns living in a trailer while we figured things out. Let me just say, there’s nothing quite like living next to a farmer’s field with some of the most beautiful horses you’ve ever seen. Horse therapy is real, friends. I’d feed them carrots and just feel… better. Turns out horses create a safe, non-judgmental space that really helps when you’re trying to process big feelings.
Fast forward a few months, and after some more soul-searching, James and I decided to officially separate. It wasn’t easy, but we worked together to figure out a new normal for our family. We even made the difficult choice to move our kids to a new city and schools – something I know all too well from my own childhood. It’s been a journey full of lessons in patience, compassion, and understanding.
Oh, and I also bought a new house! I even designed a podcast studio just for Hard Beautiful Journey! So, get ready for some heartfelt conversations, incredible guests, and a lot of healing stories, including some behind-the-scenes interviews with the people who helped me finish my new book, Dancing in the Rain. It’s a memoir about my brother Cory and our journey through grief, generational trauma, and healing. I cannot wait to share more about it with you!
Thank you for being here. For being part of this journey. Let’s keep talking, healing, and using our voices to create a more beautiful life – together.
With love and gratitude,
Tiff
